Vidya (विद्या) stems from the Sanskrit word for “knowledge” but it means more than just information or facts.

The Three Pronged Approach in the Pursuit of Vidya

Our Founders

Having gone through the education and early career process ourselves, we noticed a recurring theme - an information gap that left us scrambling to make big decisions with little guidance. We didn’t know about things like spring weeks until it was almost too late. And we weren’t alone.

Time and again, students tell us the same thing: “I wish I’d known this earlier” - whether it was how to approach a personal statement, prepare for entrance exams, or apply for spring weeks.

Students are often left to figure out these key steps on their own. With so much at stake, we felt that was unfair. Why not build a platform that actually supports students in navigating the decisions that shape their futures?

That’s how Vidya was born, in the rooms of LSE, where we set out to bridge the gap between academic success and real-world readiness. Our goal is simple: to guide students beyond grades, toward the opportunities that truly matter.
